Behind the wall
Concealed plumbing photographed before plastering. Tap the numbers to see what we check.

- 1Checked with a spirit level
The valve bodies are set level before the wall is plastered, so the final fittings sit perfectly straight.
- 2Concealed valve body
Fixed firmly at the planned position before the wall is closed.
- 3Neat crossover loop
The line loops cleanly around the other pipe instead of crossing it at an odd angle.
- 4Clean bends and joints
CPVC lines with square bends and properly made solvent-cement joints.
- 5Protected pipe
This pipe is wrapped with tape to protect it before plastering.

- 1Protective valve cover
A cover keeps the concealed valve clean and safe while the wall is plastered.
- 2Outlet plugged
Open outlets stay sealed with a plug until the fixtures are fitted.
- 3Pipes tied in place
Lines are tied so they do not shift while the wall is plastered.
- 4Straight vertical runs
Plumb, straight runs are neater and easier to locate later.
- 5Protected pipe
This line is wrapped with tape to protect it before plastering.

- 1Mixer body with protective cap
The concealed body is centred, and its cap stays on until the finish trim is fitted.
- 2Union connections
Unions on the inlets make the valve easier to service in future.
- 3Symmetrical inlets
Inlet lines are brought in neatly and evenly from both sides.
- 4Pipes clamped
Clamps hold the pipes firmly to the wall before plastering.
- 5Outlet plugged
The outlet stays plugged until the shower or spout is fitted.
